Six years ago Pauline McLynn and Deirdre O’Kane played best friends and neighbours in Fiona Looney’s debut play, the smash-hit, sold-out show Dandelions.

Misterman at the National Theatre, London

Misterman, the critically acclaimed play written and directed by Enda Walsh and starring Cillian Murphy, is currently playing at the National Theatre in London. A co-production with Galway Arts Festival, Misterman opened on April 18th to rave reviews and is running in repertory at the Lyttelton Theatre to May 28th.

Wins for Landmark and Misterman at
The Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards

Cillian Murphy has been named Best Actor 2011 for his tour-de-force solo performance as Thomas Magill in Enda Walsh’s Misterman, a co-production between Landmark Productions and Galway Arts Festival. Jamie Vartan’s ‘cavernous set of jerry-rigged ingenuity’ won the award for Best Set Design.

The production was also nominated for Best Lighting Design (Alan Silverman) and Best Production.

Landmark Productions received the Judges’ Special Award, in recognition of its ‘sustained excellence in programming and for developing imaginative partnerships to bring quality theatre to the Irish and international stage.’
