Four leading Irish writers present original, five minute plays, performed by one actor for one young audience member and their lucky guest.
Theatre for One is a very special, state-of-the-art performance space – and this Christmas, for the very first time, we are opening it up to younger audience members.
Produced by Landmark Productions and Octopus Theatricals, in co-production with the Abbey Theatre, it features short plays for young audiences by Roddy Doyle, Sonya Kelly, Louis Lovett and Pauline McLynn, and starring Lorcan Cranitch, Eleanor Methven, Rory Nolan and Caoimhe O’Malley, this promises to be a unique theatrical thrill for young audience members and their lucky guests.
Conceived and created by the Olivier award-winning designer Christine Jones and designed by LOT-EK architects, one lucky young audience member at a time (accompanied by a grown-up – if they choose) will be able to enter the specially-designed booth, and experience the magic of a brand new play, performed just for them.
Two of the plays are written for children aged 4 – 7, and two for those aged 7 – 10.
COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Audience members will be required to follow all HSE safety guidelines. Mandatory guidelines will be included within your ticket. See here for more information on safely visiting the Abbey Theatre.
