Six of Ireland’s leading playwrights premiere original 5-minute plays performed by one actor for one audience member.

Theatre for One is a mobile state-of-the-art performance space for one actor and one audience member at a time. Conceived and created by the Olivier award-winning designer Christine Jones, and designed by LOT-EK architects, it commissions new work specifically for this unique space.

Six of Ireland’s leading playwrights are writing original 5-minute plays to premiere at Cork Midsummer Festival in June 2019. Part peep-show booth, part confessional – you’ll encounter this intensely intimate theatre on the plaza outside Cork Opera House.
