‘a monumental staging … Murphy is riveting … a bravura celebration of Walsh’s theatrical vision’
★ ★ ★ ★ The Guardian

Cillian Murphy’s extraordinary stage performance in Misterman by Enda Walsh will soon be available online as part of the National Theatre at Home programme. National Theatre at Home is the flagship streaming platform of the National Theatre of Great Britain – making unmissable theatre available to watch anytime, anywhere.

Produced by Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival in 2011, Misterman received huge critical and popular acclaim when it premiered at GIAF. It went on to tour to the National Theatre in London, where it was filmed for NT at Home, and to St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York.

Thomas is on a journey. Where did it begin? What voices does he hear? And what will they tell him to do?

Cillian Murphy gives a tour-de-force performance in Enda Walsh’s dark, dangerous and blisteringly funny tale of one man and his judgement day.

Enda Walsh – ‘one of the most dazzling wordsmiths of contemporary theatre’ (Guardian) – directed an electrifying version of his devastating play.
