A new online streaming platform

Landmark Live is a new online streaming platform that will enable the company to bring its remarkable productions to audiences in their homes wherever they may be.

The first production to be streamed was Mark O’Rowe’s riveting play The Approach –  of which The New York Times said ‘even through our computer screens, a production on a real stage with acting this fine is balm for the soul’ and The Guardian ‘of all the streamed productions I have seen in the past year, this one comes closest to capturing the focus and tension of live theatre’.

Performed live on stage at Project Arts Centre, Dublin and starring Cathy Belton, Derbhle Crotty and Aisling O’Sullivan, it was broadcast to homes all around the world on 21, 23 and 24 January 2021. An on-demand option was also available to purchase until 31 January.

For the second live broadcast, Landmark was delighted to partner with the Olympia Theatre on the live broadcast of Happy Days by Samuel Beckett. Beckett’s masterpiece was streamed live from Dublin’s iconic Olympia Theatre for one performance only on January 30, 2021. An on-demand option was available until 1 February.
